Welcome — you’re in the right place if you’re ready to get clear on what matters most to you, deepen your understanding of your purpose, and experience a life marked by more peace, joy, and self-understanding.

This isn’t abstract theory

it’s practical, simple, and approachable guidance that supports you in uncovering your True Nature and stepping into the world with more presence, clarity, and ease.

You’ll learn tools you can apply right away

grounded in real human experience and cultivated through practice.

The work of Awakening is made practical and approachable through the development of these skills:

Train your mind

As we practice training our minds we learn to:
Observe our thoughts, and not take every thought so seriously.
Redirect our thoughts toward what we truly want and who we truly are.
Uncover the beliefs you hold (many unconscious) that are creating your perceptions of life.
Heal your wounds

In order to heal our wounds we learn to:
Work with emotional reactions as our teachers - knowing something is up for healing.
Notice and name our feelings in order to halt reactivity and deepen our self-understanding.
Learn the rare, valuable skill of how to actually feel a repressed or suppressed feeling so you can finally let it go.
Learn to love

It turns out love is a skill. As we learn to love we:
Practice cultivating positive states of being.
Build capacities such as patience and kindness. These are your true nature, which is why they fit so well.
Uncover the unchanging peace, happiness and joy that are within you.

Authenticity is self-love.

The Listening Academy is intended for humans who are:

Interested in their own growth and deepening their understanding of who they are.
Leaders who are willing to become more conscious of themselves and their impact on others.
Parents who are willing to become more conscious of themselves and their deep, lasting impact on kids.

The Class

With each class there are teachings, exercises to deepen the teaching, break-out time with another student for exploration, and homework that includes both reflection questions and simple, effective practices to take into your daily life to support your growth and transformation.
The Community

You will be in community with other humans who are doing their own inner work. TLA students have described the community aspect as sacred and a very important part of the class. It is rare and special to meet others who are authentically on their growth journey.

I'm not overstating when I say The Listening Academy changed my life by teaching me some important life skills. It also is helping me achieve what I call "elevated consciousness." I highly recommend participating in The Listening Academy!
